Mother 1 is kind of a slog, so if she gets through it, then 100% doomed.

That game has such an immaculately told story! The characters, the pacing, the game mechanics, the twists, the ending! And the animation!! It’s all sooooo good that after I first finished it, I immediately started another playthrough just to experience it again! Legit the best story in gaming
Have you seen this fan animation? It’s basically a Cabanela fancam from the old Internet (it’s fantastic)
Add in a full playthrough of Umineko no Naku Koro ni, took me like 150+ hours but it did have change the way I look at the world and how I interpret stories in a rather significant way.
