I just double checked the sources the Community Notes used. The CNN story is about one random Syrian dude using sugar, not Hamas. The Wikipedia article mentioned sugar but the source in that article is pretty bogus.
Do you really expect the same Americans who thought that Iraq did 9/11 to understand that Syrians and Palestinians are separate peoples?
