I am supportive of repealing the 2nd Amendment for a shit ton of reasons. But watching alt-reich groups gain legitimacy in America has given me reason to reconsider. A rarity online, I am truly on the fence. Support banning guns … or start arming myself and my loved ones?

    firearms control in the US and the culture built around it are founded on racism and classism, and only serve to protect the white bourgeoisie from the anger of workers. If the proletariat can not arm, the proletariat can not rise.

        Fidel talks about how many of the students and later leaders in the 26th July Movement, trained themselves and each other at firing ranges in the cities in Cuba, predominantly run by Batista fascists in the middle of his dictatorship!

        Also I think that in Seattle there might be some decent leftist armed groups that would be great to join, if only to get trained and such, but also to potentially have a good group of comrades who have each other’s backs.
