The awesome thing about “AI” (these LLMs) is that they can sound super convincing if you’re not already competent at the task you’re asking them to do.

So all they’re really doing is revealing what we’ve already known all along.

They told us AI would take our jobs, but all they’re doing is using AI to eliminate their own jobs.

Careful bossman. You’re much less important than the people who do real work, wouldn’t want to make yourself redundant!

i think this is the consequence off too much reserve army of labor. if the labor market were actually tight like the central banks and capitalists are saying, capitalists wouldn’t be throwing away candidates willy-nilly.

I wonder if you could have much success using AI to take the interview for you in such cases. I’ve had very few if any circumstances where specific things I’ve said in an interview were brought up later while working somewhere, they’re usually just a vague reference to me seeming confident or to the type of experience mentioned in my resume so I doubt I’d be caught out. You could also just read the interview later to be safe but at that point you may as well have actually taken it yourself which defeats the purpose.

I misread this as AI was interviewing people and insulting them and I pictured people showing up for an interview and a computer just being like ‘nice suit bozo did you get it at the dumbass store’
