Apparently as a protest against “cashless society” efforts.

Yeah righto, it’s a bank run and it better be funny as fuck.

Mainstream news are already drawing attention to it so there might be a slim chance that something entertaining will transpire.

Sadly banks don’t dispense negative money so I’ll just be on the sidelines.

Though some leading thinkers stirner-cool believe that the money only belongs to whoever gets their hands on it last.

would it be fine if it was centralized? I’d rather not be mandated to use one of the 3-4 credit card cartel companies/one of the two tech giants payment systems, just to exist in society. If you’re going to issue cash as legal tender, places should really accept it. Maybe it’d be fine in an AES country or something but not loving it where I live.

“cashless” EFT is annoying and you become highly aware of it whenever it takes a few tries to work

cash is also annoying because you got to lug it around, count it, takes longer to exchange than even a difficult electronic transaction that took a few times to work, and then you get change that is even more annoying to carry despite being worth less. A lot of older people have become accustomed enough to these annoyances for them to become invisible but they are still there.

Both are annoying as fuck though, with “cashless” EFT rapidly over taking cash because the majority consider it to be the less annoying of the two.

to really make life easier though we need the option that isn’t being entertained which is true cashless, ie; a moneyless society.

        100-com

I’m young and like cash, I don’t give a shit about saving a few seconds when I buy coffee or whatever, if anything the slight slowness makes the interaction better or is neutral, and it takes things like tipping out of the control of the business owner to disable electronically (in addition to not being subject to built-in electronic surveillance and not forcing me to use technologies and do business with companies I prefer to avoid). I’m not against tap-to-pay or anything being an option, just annoyed at the removal of cash as an option.

Our only security company that transports money is collapsing because the banks don’t pay them enough. They get underpaid a million dollars a week apparently.

Being a monopoly isn’t good when you’re on the receiving end of banks I guess
