I never liked her but I am reconsidering my stance on her given I am in a retrospective on whether or not we were too harsh towards her (which is a yes). Don’t get me wrong, her takes are mixed bag at best but the hate is exaggerated when I really think about it.

Her takes wouldn’t have even been news worthy if it wasn’t for the extreme hate campaign directed at her by gamer gate stuff. I’m going to guess she’s a bog standard lib but I’m warm towards her just because of the endless rage she invokes in babies too scared to see women in games or whatever.
Her shallow analysis of games wouldn’t ever had made news if it wasn’t for the chuds harassing her and her project.
I believe she has called for regime change of other countries for oppression of women.
And I… don’t think I agree with that.

You can accept some of her cultural critiques, as a progressive, while also bashing their shit foreign policy, as a lib…
Regardless, I don’t think the high amount of hate put against her was justified…
Big standard lib tbh, only notable bc of hatred gamers have for her. probably has some good takes, probably has some bad ones. milquetoast yt pop feminism from the 2010s at the end of the day
I probably disagreed with her more than I agreed with her, but had nothing in particular against her and I think a lot of her criticism came from the right place. I don’t think an ounce of the vitriol raised against her was warranted.
