The comments of “uncommitted voters” moving the goalpost is pretty infuriating
“moving the goalposts” means anywhere between comparing a similar situation and allowing the natural flow of a conversation instead of letting the lib set a very narrow path for you to walk down.
Much like “virtue signalling” it’s a thought terminating cliche meant to silence criticism
It’s not even moving the goalposts. Ceasefire means fucking ceasefire.
They were doing the same thing when Trump had to go to court a couple times. It was all “where will the goalposts move now?” about him being “held accountable”. People want actual consequences, not an awkward afternoon in a courtroom where he is sentenced to pay money he will never pay.
Also, the toothless, technically correct “arrested twice” as if he was stuffed and cuffed and thrown in a cell.
Consequences are for the proles.
Libs don’t care about logical fallacies, they just use them as the magic “I don’t have to listen to you” words." If they actually cared, they would know that the point of logical fallacies is to examine your own argument and make it stronger rhetorically by removing them.
