I am very confused. it seems the KMT is against the DPP. I know Chiang Kai-Shek was the leader of the KMT who landed them in Taiwan. I know the DPP has also recently banned the KMT. Why?
Why is the Ex-Chair of the Chinese KMT appearing in CGTN and talking about the mainland helping reunification? Can someone help me understand the situation? Has the KMT changed? I thought the KMT hated the the CPC.
KMT has always been pro reunification, and has always seen Taiwan as part of China. And where did you get the information that KMT was banned?
I got the info that it was banned in Taiwan by the DPP. I know it was from an interview, but I’d have a hard time saying if it was from CGTN or Breakthrough News or Multipolarista. Maybe I misunderstood what the interviewee was saying.
That being said, do you know what the KMT’s relationship is with the CPC and DPP? Or could you point me in the direction to find out?
