    I think it was Hasan who touched on this thought process recently in the U.S. population in particular, that they’re so used to drone striking brown people that it doesn’t really register and is considered a more pure form of warfare, but Palestinians going out and shooting people they can see in front of them is more visceral.

      Reminds me of how the Romans would complain about ambushes being “uncivilised” in warfare because they rarely used them and would almost always lose a battle when they were ambushed.
