Society if we create a cure for hiccups:
fuuuuck meeeee. Never would I have thought this would happen in my lifetime. Curing cancer? Sure. Hiccups? Impossible.
I heard the invention of the device went smoothly without any hiccups.
No joke, I’m currently hiccuping so hard my diaphragm and chest hurts. I need this.
Interesting idea hopefully one day we no longer have hiccups
Or maybe one day we will understand why we have hiccups and find out that it’s important.

I’m sorry but I’m skeptical that all things which look “weird” and “buggy” to us are actually inherently bad. There always is a reason for everything. We just don’t know it yet.

Miracle hiccough cure gets the attention it deserves
Reluctantly, I must thank Roberts for bringing to greater attention Lam’s miraculous hiccough cure (plugging both ears tightly, pushing both right and left tragus, and drinking the entire glass of water through the straw without pause, without releasing the pressure over the ears).1 It certainly works. Simply drinking a whole glass of water, without pausing and without breathing, cures hiccups 100% instantly. Using a separate gadget is unnecessary. If the hiccups are caused by some disease, this gadget is also useless, this should then be treated by a doctor.
