When I first discovered Gemini I was freaking lost. I didn’t even know how to view a capsule.

Then I found The Midnight Pub which has a really great community and which proposed to host your own tiny capsule :D

But as a person who loves to tinker around with everything, I needed to host my own capsule! So I took an old pc, installed Ubuntu server on it and agate (a gemini server). In less than few hours I had my capsule launched into the constellation Gemini B-)

(It’s only available on Gemini for now but I plan to make it available on the web too)

I think the barrier to entry is part of the fun. Like in the old days when we heard about the ‘world wide web’, it was new and exciting. For me Gemini replicates that youthful experience.

Yeah I definitely agree. I wasn’t there at the beginning of the web but I remember how exciting it was to discover it back when I was younger. And I kinda feel the same way about Gemini right now.
