I’ve tried to do some research, but I frankly don’t want to read paragraphs and paragraphs of policies and their history.

I know CPUSA is important, but in what ways are the two parties different?

As I understand it, when CPUSA shifted to a more bourgeois-oriented program they kicked out the chapters that protested the change, and those chapters became PCUSA, but it would be nice to know a little more about this history.

What are the party’s general stances on historical figures like Stalin or Mao, or modern figures like Xi or Putin?

I read on their site that they believe in political revolution, but I’m not sure if they say how they intend to bring about that revolution?

To briefly answer what you asked to the best of my ability, yes, your understanding of the CPUSA/PCUSA split is accurate. Unfortunate as it may be, CPUSA in the modern era is ran by the Liberals. You need only read their newspaper to confirm this, or read the words of their leader Joe Simms.

PCUSA is a strictly anti-revisionist Marxist-Leninist Party, which is to say a Bolshevik party. The only kind of Communist Party.

As for our stance on Historical figures, we uphold Stalin and to a lesser degree Mao. Xi and Putin? We support the PRC, although we do not endorse their market socialism, we understand that China is the current center of the Communist movement and we have had presentations with CPC Members. As for Putin, it goes without saying that his is not a Communist, nor is Russia. We do however, support Russia’s liberation of the DPR and LPR from the Fascist regime in Kiev, and hope to see the rest of The Ukraine free from Nazi influence.

If you want to learn more without totally committing you can come to our People’s School of Marxist Leninist Studies classes every Tue/Thur at 5PM EST.

I’m not a mod of this page and don’t speak for the party as I’m a new member.

There is a whole playlist on YouTube about the break from CPUSA. Off the top of my head, the CPUSA dropped US Friends of the Soviet People upon the USSR being destroyed. That and the CPUSA backed some neolibs in elections and a litany of other counter revolutionary acts of which some heads made a their qualms known and we’re abandoned by the CPUSA. So theses heads and the US Friends became PCUSA. There’s a lot more to this in the PSMLS vids.

Very pro Stalin. Pro Mao for a certain period.

The party is very professional, active, and regimented and I think that if the elaborated any more on revolution, it would get destroyed by feds. They communicate with communists around the world, have many committees based on aspects of US society and we synthesize and disseminate information about these aspects through an ML lens, and we have the People’s School for Marxist-Leninist Studies (PSMLS). You’re allowed to attend as it is twice a week.

Don’t take my word as representative though. Reach out on the website and you will get in contact with a club chair and they are extremely knowledgeable about things. That way you can have a full blown conversation about any trepidations.

Remember, I am not a mod of this Lemmy page, I stumbled upon it.
