Was CNN being more precise, or did some editor think that by calling it a B-52, without spelling out that it was a bomber, they made it sound harmless?

    playing armchair general. (correct me if anything doesn’t match)

    i heard that heavy bombers is a purely terrorist weapon, military speaking it is useless it is bulky, slow, very easy to shoot at, so leaving the only possibility is to use on civilians.

    u.s already did carpet bombing in ww2, on german villages without military presence, only hurting the civilian population.

    while the soviets were completely against such tactic and had only light bombers, to hit and run on military targets.

    so this kinda makes this thing a little more sinister
