So essentially… if Lybia, Yugoslavia, Iraq, and others could actually hold their own against NATO advances, against U.S imperialism, and not only that but preemptively get rid of couped, us-funded proxy states such as Israel, they’d be wrong? They’d be imperialist?
Do not say NATO “was declining, it was becoming weaker” because that doesn’t make sense. When did the monarchs, the rich, the imperialists ever lost power on their own? When did fascism just leave on its own? On its own time and terms?
Damn, GenZedong really was the only sane sub left.

The sub didn’t start supporting Russia but many people who did mistook the initial critical support for actual support and stayed. There were plenty of new members and new accounts spamming the subreddit and made it less funny.
What about Iraq was imperialist? Haven’t had coffee yet so my brain isn’t fully functional…

There is nothing similar about this invasion of Ukraine to Iraq. He’s equating Russia’s invasion with the imperialism done by the west over hundreds of years - an absurd stance to make. Scale matters.
Taking no sides except the one of the Ukrainian working class and Russian working class who are affected by the sanctions is the correct stance. But you simply help the primary threat of (real) imperialism (that only comes from the WEST) by equating these invasions.

Okay, look, I don’t know how Ukraine is invading Russia. Last I checked, the Russian military was surrounding Kiev.

I would say the Allies invaded Germany, yes.

Apparently the discord forgot what “opportunism” means.

I think they’re conflating the pan-arab nationalist ambitions of the Baath party with actual imperialism.

Putin is not invading.
Heck. Donetsk and Lugansk are the ones leading the operations AGAINST the country that was invading: Ukraine.
Ukraine is the one invading.

Ukraine is invading Donestk and Lugansk. They asked Russia to aid them.

Okay, yes, that is correct. But, Russia is in fact invading Ukraine. You can’t really deny that.

Do you also say that the Allies invaded Germany? Maybe we have different definitions of “invasion”.
