I’m posting the Steam version of the patch highlights because they have spoiler tags. Much safer reading than the unredacted notes, IMHO.

Edit: I also found the full patch notes with spoiler tags.

I found out recently there is no sneak attack animations for Glaives. it feels weird just standing beside a dude and then they die.

“ Fixed an issue causing Dammon to enter combat and die at Last Light, preventing Karlach’s story from progressing.”

Oh, he wasn’t supposed to die? I wonder if that means I have to restart my run to finish the karlach story now?

To the best of my knowledge (and while remaining spoiler free) Dammon has a single task he must perform in Act 2 in order to continue Karlach’s story. If you arrived at Last Light and spoke with him, providing him the required materials, you have completed that task.

Specifically you would have had (or at least the option to have had) a memorable moment with Karlach. If that sounds familiar, you should be fine to continue her story.

If however Dammon died before this task is complete, Karlach’s story is going to be a little more limited. It’s not game/story breaking, but you may be unable to help her as you had hoped to.

Thank you! That’s good to know. Yes, luckily I did have that encounter before the killening.

I was expecting to see an exploit for free stuff, but if I followed that video, I think it actually shows getting robbed by a vendor. Is that what you mean?

yeah, you get robbed by the NPC’s…

the process is basically Start Barter > Switch Character > Put Items in their slot.

when you do that, you can’t remove them, and exiting the menu in any way add those items into their inventory

I did test it, yeah. It seemed to be a similar issue, but didn’t fix the one I had submitted a bug report for, in which case, still reproducible on the current patch

Bummer. I have to wonder, though: Why are you dragging your items into the NPC’s offer column instead of your own?

I forget the exact reason I had initially did it, I think I was quickly dragging things into the trade column and went over too far, which resulted in the glitch occurring

I’ve submitted a bug report during Patch 1’s release, and have been asked if the glitch has occurred after Patch 2, which I told them that it did. in my most recent interaction with them 6 days ago, I was told that it was passed onto the team and that they were working on it

Until it’s fixed, maybe double clicking your items instead of dragging them would make the bug easier to avoid. That’s what I do, so I probably would never have noticed the problem if you hadn’t pointed it out.

Double clicking does seem like the best course of action. I’m just hoping it gets fixed so someone doesn’t accidentally discover the glitch and lose lots of progress because of it
