Sept. 21 (UPI) – South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol warned during an address to the United Nations General Assembly that Seoul and its allies will not “stand idly by” if Russia gives North Korea technical assistance with its nuclear and missile programs.

Why not? I thought countries should be able to do whatever they want so long as it doesn’t threaten anyone…

So it’s ok when the US makes untold numbers of arms deals all over the world but nobody else can? Like screw the Kremlin obviously but help me understand why one is ok and the other is not.

Why are you afraid of DPRK anyway?

Such double standards! How is this different than stationing NATO nuclear capabilities along the Ukrainian-Russian border to enhance nuclear first strike capabilities against Russia?

So NATO is stationing nuclear weapons in Poland? That’s new to me. Have any info about that you can share?

He said the Ukrainian Russian border, which last time I checked we haven’t give Ukraine any nuclear weapons.

Yeah but I assumed he meant that this will happen when Ukraine joins NATO which would mean that today NATO holds nuclear weapons in Poland and Baltic countries. It doesn’t because his argument is stupid.

Not every NATO country gets nukes. Jesus do some research. Only the UK has strategic weapons, which are domestically produced.

The United States has about 100 tactical B61 nuclear bombs deployed in Europe. These bombs are stored in hardened aircraft shelters at eight bases in six NATO countries: Belgium, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Turkey, United Kingdom.

Poland is pushing for that which is exactly what SK says NK can’t do - you can’t be okay with Poland wanting nukes and not okay with DPRK wanting the same…or you can choose to be hypocritical ig

Wow, so much wrong here. Poland can be pushing for unicorn cavalry for what I care. It’s stupid to say it has anything to do with NATO’s policy or plans. DPKR already has nukes so it doesn’t really want ‘the same’. Also, South Korea can complain but no one is saying they have any right to attack, murder and rape North Koreans because of that. When they do and the West supports it you can talk about hypocrisy. Now you’re just grasping at straws because what Russia is doing is unjustifiable.

So what exactly is the problem with two non-NATO allies assisting each other? You’ve got a lot of words there but I don’t see how this is any different to the Nukes that NATO has stored in central Europe. I don’t blame DPRK one bit for wanting to secure it’s military capabilities while the US continues to sabre rattle against China for absolutely zero reason. The bit I can’t understand is why this is bad when what the US has done historically for decades is apparently A-OK because freedom

So you don’t understand that South Korea, that is not part of NATO, can say they don’t like something and at the same time, NATO, which does not include South Korea, can say that Russia can’t use something similar as an excuse to start a bloody war? Yeah, I can tell you’re very confused. Maybe world politics is just to complicated of a topic for you?

Sure and South Korea and it’s allies can do the same.

China is the one who’s going to have a heart attack when there’s even more weapons on their doorstep.

Shit maybe S.Korea should go nuclear as well, really get the ball rolling.

South Korea and it’s allies can do the same.

Uh, they do. All the time. South Korea is a US military base masquerading as a country. Nuclear-armed submarines were recently deployed to SK as a show of force. South Korea is a site of missile defense systems that give the USA the ability to launch nuclear strikes and shoot down retaliatory strikes, giving them both encirclement over Russia and China and giving them a path to breaking MAD and bringing us closer to nuclear war.

China is the one who’s going to have a heart attack when there’s even more weapons on their doorstep.

China has been encircled by violent psychopaths for decades. It’s not like it’s going to be surprised by USA vassal states doing USA’s bidding. That’s been the state of the world since the USA took control of South Korea from the imperial Japanese and dropped more bombs on NK than all countries combined dropped during all of WW2.

Shit maybe S.Korea should go nuclear as well, really get the ball rolling.

        Least death cultish liberal.

I live in Asia and would rather not having North Korea got ahold of some nukes. Things are already pretty hot here between China and Taiwan, no need to add more heat between NK and SK. What are they going to do with the nuke anyway? To deter SK from invading NK? Doesn’t seem to be necessary as annexing NK will ruin SK’s economy, which is a strong enough deterrence.
