How can I possibly mentally deal with the Soviet deportations? It is NEVER OK to punish an entire ethnic group for the crimes of some of the people.

    Comrades, don’t forget that those deportations were also meant to protect those deported from any kind of lynching by people who suffered from the actions of “some” groups. Not all people in the Soviet Union were the happy communists from the posters. Some would be willing to get their revenge for all the suffering brought.
