First Iraq war though. Together with the destruction of USSR soon after, it was this win that allowed USA to regain the military prestige they lost in Vietnam and establish its military as the guarantee of USA hegemony thus starting the 30 years of unopposed imperialism. That was a huge win for them unfortunately.
