The best boss stomper build I’ve found is:

2 - Hu-Ben gatling guns

2 - Stun Needle Launchers (or Songbirds if the Needle Launcher isn’t available)

BST-G2 booster

Talbot FCS

Then select frame parts to meet requirements and try and keep boost speed above 320

It’s honestly a kind of cheese build that I’m ashamed to use. You just circle around the boss and blast them with your gatling guns until they stagger and fire the Needle Launchers which do a crazy amount of damage.

Like I expect they will nerf the Needle Launcher in the near future, it makes a lot of bosses trivial.

Of course the real, honorable warriors go into battle with a shotgun, laser sword and a pulse buckler. But sometimes you just want to move on with the game.

Dual gattling guns is good but Dual Zimmerman shotguns with either 2 songbirds or 1 songbird and a pile driver for hitting during stuns obliterates boss health bars

Dual Zimmers and Songbirds was my go to build for my first playthrough, but it took 8 or 10 to get through CEL-240 becuase you needed to get up close. I used the Hu-Bens on my second play through and finished it in one, literally just lazily circled around holding down L2 and R2.

I beat CEL240 with dual Zimmermans and dual songbirds yesterday. After that I tried to defeat it using laser lance plus pilebunker but I have been failing miserably in the second phase.

It reminds me alot of Malenia in Elden Ring, I think I beat her in 10 using a ranged build the first time. And then I committed to beating her with her own weapon on the second go through and it took like 100 tries. Like you can memorize all her moves but there is a huge element of chance just based on your reaction and the order of her attacks when your up close.

Yeah. Though I feel CEL is definitely fairer than Malenia. As long as your AC is mobile enough it is possible albeit difficult to dodge most of her attacks. I tried the melee build after watching this ongbal video.

Malenia was straight up bullshit because her waterfowl dance is 99% undodgeable if you are too close to her when she begins the windup. I was able to dodge it with bloodhound step before the nerfs. After the nerfs I can’t. I always summon help against her now.

Warfar is all about finding the most bullshit cheese build in existence and then using it to kill poor workers from other countries.

You can always try to challenge yourself in NG+.

Shotgun/chainsaw/songbird on the lightest AC you can fit it all is also surprisingly good against a lot of things, and the pile bunker in place of the chainsaw usually works for the things the chainsaw doesn’t work on (because the chainsaw does multiple interrupting hits that ramp up in damage, so any boss that doesn’t get interrupted like that will usually just up and leave while you’re mid charge attack).

For late game the coral generators are great for reverse joint leg builds, because coral generators have absurd regen after redlining them (gaining back nearly the whole bar ~3 seconds after exhausting it) and reverse joints can dodge without energy by jumping.
