The stance puts Kennedy — who’s mounting long shot bid to unseat President Joe Biden as the Democratic standard bearer in 2024 — out of step with most of his party.

Henry Cuellar’s success in his district in the deep south of Texas isn’t indicative of anything at all on a national level.

It indicates that party leadership will abandon any principle to shut out progressives.

No, it doesn’t. Democrats in red states have a much higher likelihood of being closer to Republicans stances in order to get elected.

It’s so nice that the national party has to step in to save us from ourselves. Otherwise we might elect a progressive instead of the anti-choice candidate they prefer.

Is it your belief that Joe Biden is “anti-choice?”

Because he is 100% the pick of the Dem Party

It’s my belief that the party will abandon any principle to shut out progressives, and Coathanger Cuellar shows that.

That’s silly, since there is literally a progressive Dem caucus, and it has more members in 2023 than in the past 60 years.

Down voters apparently aren’t aware that the national Democratic party will back an anti choice candidate in order to prevent a progressive from taking the seat.
