There is this YouTube channel called The Michael Parenti Library which has a bunch of Parenti lecture videos. I ripped the audio from them, did some very minor processing and uploaded them as a podcast. So if you want you can listen them through whatever podcast app you use (if you use one).

Sick!
A bunch have already been uploaded to Spotify and Apple Podcasts under the name Yellowparenti FYI.
Doing God’s work though comrade
Aw man. Hopefully I have uploaded some lectures that they did not. Thanks for letting me know.
There is also the Michael Parenti Collection, which has a bunch. If you’re picking new ones to upload and trying to optimize for coverage, that’s another one worth checking.
You have a link? I can’t find it.
Here is their most recent upload:
That’s “my” podcast. I am uploading those.
Oh, okay, I thought it was different because you said the YT channel was Michael Parenti Library and this is Collection.
In any case, thanks for what you’ve done so far! I found the channel very helpful.
YT channel was Library but when I made the podcast I changed it to Collection to make it not look like the person running the YT channel was also uploading the podcasts.
Also thanks very much for the kind words.

thats super cool, i’ve been meaning to listen to his lectures for months, thanks comrade! is there a particular order they’re meant to be listened to in, or are they pretty unconnected?
I’ve watched most of them and didn’t notice a clear connection. Chronological makes sense because then you can contextualise changes of opinion/progression of a situation and how his takes relate to it.
I didn’t watch them chronologically though, and didn’t feel lacking context though, so eh.
No order to them. I uploaded them in the order that The Michael Parenti Library YouTube channel uploaded the videos in.
Thank you!
How’s Parenti doing these days? He’s undoubtedly retired, but I’m wondering if he’s made any commentary on the current state of things.
There was actually a post about this on the GenZedong subreddit before quarantine. Some people were able to meet Parenti in person. He was not doing well in terms of health. Something like dementia from what I recall but don’t quote me. As such he would probably not be able to give coherent thoughts on the matter.
Sad, but in his circumstance I’m not sure I would want to know exactly what is going on.
Yeah, it’s definitely dementia.
You could see the cognitive decline creeping in on him in some of his later lectures where he loses the thread and needs prompting. Anyone who has seen dementia from its early stages would recognise the signs in him.
Note that this was at the tail-end of a long lecture but at about 2:45 into the video he struggles. Can’t find the whole thing on YouTube anymore 😔
Edit: Found the full lecture
How do you load that RSS link into something like beyond pod?
I haven’t used that app but I found instructions for adding a podcast using the RSS feed address here: http://www.beyondpod.com/cms/index.php/search-and-add-feeds
All I needed to do was paste the URL to that wall of text and it worked.
Thanks home skillet!
