I know it is a theme or skin thing but it would be nice if that can be addressed on a global scale to avoid enforcing theme providers updating their themes.

TL;DW: There’s still a number of open points and it will likely require themes to be updated. The theme that you’re using looks opaque, i.e. doesn’t need blur, so maybe the theme author would just need to turn off blur (however that works)…
