Two nuclear weapon-capable Russian planes landed in Venezuela in December 2018 in what Reuters called a “show of support for Maduro’s socialist government.”[389]

According to the Kremlin, there are about 100 Russian military personnel in Venezuela “to repair equipment and provide technical co-operation”.[390] On 23 March 2019, two Russian planes landed in Venezuela carrying 99 troops[391] and 35 tonnes of matériel.[389] Alexey Seredin from the Russian Embassy in Caracas said the two planes were “part of an effort to maintain Maduro’s defense apparatus, which includes Sukhoi fighter jets and anti-aircraft systems purchased from Russia.”[391]

National Assembly deputy Williams Dávila said the National Assembly would investigate the “penetration of foreign forces in Venezuela.”[392]

So, what, they stationed a few troops and some equipment there?

I’d hardly say that’s proof that Russia isn’t a hasbeen country. That’s just a desperate attempt to seem important.

Although lol if you think Guaidó is the legitimate president and not just a US backed puppet.

You just quoted them packing in two nuclear-capable planes… and then say it was a “few troops”? That’s a pretty damn big stick to prevent anyone else trying to stop their illegitimate government from being taken down.

I’d hardly say that’s proof that Russia isn’t a hasbeen country. That’s just a desperate attempt to seem important.

This is you moving the goal post in your attempt to gaslight factual events that happened. I never made any statements about Russia’s current state.

Although lol if you think Guaidó is the legitimate president and not just a US backed puppet.

Apparently the people of Venezuela thought he was the legitimate president. They voted him the winner of their presidential election. The people of Venezuela knew what was best for them, and it wasn’t the status quo petro-king-for-life that is Maduro. Look at their economy since all this played out.

But from your comment history, you’re clearly communist and anti-democracy. Why would you care what the people voted. You just want to pin everything that doesn’t fit your narrative on to the US. What a dull, lazy take on the world.

Enjoy making your knock-off Android phones at Huawei for $3 an hour, no overtime, 70 hours a week. Some bad ass communism though! I hope you get a couple of points of social credit from the CCP for your efforts here today! Keep sticking it to those western capitalists with their 40 hour work weeks!

I make car parts in Iowa, fuck off. 😉

I guess there’s one thing Russia and America still agree on - Russia is a real country and not a gas station with nukes!
