Before I can have an honest discussion with you about exorcisms there are two problems we must know and address in our practice. The first is that exorcisms were historically used as methods of curing a person who at the time, had a mental condition that philosophers did not have the capacity to diagnose. These include schizophrenia, DID, Bipolar and other mood disorders. During the conversion of people to Christianity and afterwards, exorcisms were also used to persecute pagan and eventually non-white religious beliefs. In some cases it’s even possible they could be used against other enemies of mainstream religions such as queer people or atheists.

With these scenarios out of the way, we can begin to think about when exorcisms are needed. Maybe a person was not possessed and having their body controlled by evil spirits, but evil energies have attached onto them due to bad karma and/or negative thoughts or strong negative emotions.

To perform one, burn bay leaves, burn sage, and use incense to give offerings to the gods who can overcome the evil energies. Call upon The White Fox, the wife of death. We must read the holy red book loudly and with intent, to exorcise the person and purify all who hear it. The mantras can also be used to weaken the evil energies and cause them to flee from purifying sounds. It’s dangerous, and everyone present should have ancestral protection to prevent the energy from attaching onto them.

Shiawase.
