If it was never actually epic, it wouldn’t be as “funny” the times it cuts to someone sharting.
It turns the bit into a definitive gag for sure, whereas before I saw a bit of symbolism in the GOT theme spurring up only to get ‘shat’ on. Takes away from the feel of this being a peasant’s journey.
