I keep coming back to that the right, chuds, groypers, nazis, libertarian gun nuts, etc. are just nihilistic assholes who want to see people they deem as the other suffer. They actually don’t believe in anything, i.e. gun rights deep down, but publicly they will say they do to fit in, but when push comes to shove, if dropping that inflicts punishment on the other then they will engaging in some absurd replies that makes them look like clowns.

If it wasn’t Trump rallying up these freaks someone else would have done it. And it’s all rich because this administration for a little bit was pursuing people it deemed nihilists when the call was coming from inside the house the whole time.

I hope this makes sense, as I’m not a smart fancy pants boy, but I see the writing on the wall here.

  • I am at the same place as @as_a_worker in having to be at least a little bit shocked with the entirety of the right-wing being racist fascists and any “libertarian” or “small government” or “states rights” people were always disingenuous. I had thought there were going to be a residue of some fraction that were dumb enough to be true believers in “small government” and “personal rights” enough to be opposed to a Gestapo executing people in the streets. Even if they were White (because they were obviously White Supremecists, not that it makes it worse), since all the rhetoric was in opposition to “Authoritarianism” that can ask for your “papers” and bypass your “Constitutional Rights ™”

there are a few of those people but the issue is they don’t go online or do anything

      • I think that, to the extent that they exist, they only do go online. But it still is still becoming obvious that that was never a serious or consistent movement, such that not even 2% would stand up for gun rights or being opposed to federal agents being allowed to arrest or harass people with no reason other than them being federal agents.

of course, libertarianism (speaking here only of the neoliberal kind, not the fascist kind) is deeply rooted in individualism. they won’t stand for anything because they don’t believe in that sort of thing. at best they believe society will collapse and they’ll need guns to protect themselves as individuals like dirty harry. i was just speaking ideologically. ideologically they’re opposed to the most openly fascist police killings. obviously as a movement their individualism renders them dead on arrival

Philando Castile. And to a lesser extent, Daniel Shraver.

I know Carl from InRange, Russel from Sinistral Rifleman, Yellow Peril Tactical (not too familiar with him) and others have all firmly said “2A for all” and a lot of these self proclaimed gun rights absolutists were pressssssed.
