It’s really the same for all camps of party loyalists: all the alienation and cognitive dissonance caused by their own mandates are forgotten or actively purged from the collective consciousness in order to assert the presumption of moral and ideological superiority. To be fair, however, it’s very difficult to reflect on these contradictions when everyone is blowing dogwhistles in your face all day long.
