EM POC ONLY!!!

This is home for me.

I love all of my comrades on c/em_poc, but I wanna especially give a huge shoutout to @sweet_pecan@hexbear.net for doing a lot to help me keep my composure. I don’t know if they quite realize how much I appreciate them!

Each and every single one of you makes me feel less alone through these struggles, though.

I hope all of you are well! sankara-bass

      Funny how Cubans and Chinese either become victims of their circumstance or willing participants based on how acutely threatened westerners are.

      • Social credit -> Chinese are victims
      • Tik-Tok -> Chinese are the villains

        Chinese immigrants in US who say “CccccPee is evil no food took away egg monopoly” gets whitey to reply “Wow what an evil regime I’m sure this person is a total expert on their home country and knows everything there is.”

        Chinese immigrants in US or China who say “Actually things aren’t bad in China. I’m only outside the country to study a subject our universities don’t have programs for or have a job traveling,” gets whitey to bust out the calipers “Wow you’re completely brainwashed and I’m going to compare you to hive insects while dismissing everything you say.”

        • What is this social purpose? Westerners want to believe that other places are worse off, exactly how Americans and Canadians perennially flatter themselves by attacking each others’ decaying health-care systems, or how a divorcee might fantasize that their ex-lover’s blooming love-life is secretly miserable. This kind of “crab mentality” is actually a sophisticated coping mechanism suitable for {a society{ in which no other course of action seems viable.

          People aren’t “falling” for atrocity propaganda; they’re eagerly seeking it out, like a soothing balm.
