Correct me if I’m wrong but did Putin actually apologize for ever trusting the West? I read that somewhere but I don’t know if it’s true.
I don’t recall that he apologized, but I did see a clip of him saying that he was naive to trust the west and it was one of the biggest mistakes he made. So there is a public acknowledgement from him that trying to work with the west was bad judgment on his part.
