Leftypol, afaik, has always been a glowop, and the government seem intent on crushing its support of Z and Gaza. Currently, the level of NAFO attack is increasingly high, and with an appropriate level of human, automated, and semi-automated attack, we could go under, especially since mods want it to collapse. How would you feel about an evac? I understand you do need to filter as Leftypol is very loosely moderated. And do you have plans if government troll farms go after you as well?

    Leftychan.net exists exactly because the mod team on .org cannot be worked with. It’s run democratically and most people that go there agree it’s better than leftypol.

      Looking at the leftypol.org moderation thread quickly, it… leaves an impression. There’s some real wannabe-cop shit going on.

      It looks like part of the reason for the understaffing is that after four years, they finally banned an openly abusive moderator. Then other mods just kept using that name/account to continue moderating under a false name. So they currently have mods trying to justify gaslighting the userbase with a zombie account. Then there’s a long essay one of them made when they left a year ago, which I just don’t have time to look at today.

      On the wiki and booru, it looks like the other English-language socialist imageboards are:

      • leftychan : a split from mods who disagreed, run democratically
      • GETchan : completely independent site (not a left-/pol/ offshoot) with much politically-stricter moderation hosting a casual chat lounge board and a flag-collecting international board. Now I see the name, I remember their YouTube channel filled with great music collections including original archivism.
      • Nuclear Change : a board with a knack for running online projects rather than generic chatting, also run democratically

      Sounds like the best migration option, since the culture fits. But I think the NAFO raiders are getting countered and essentially ended up as toys.

      The only good thing about Leftypol, tbh, is the very high traffic volume.

      What’s the use of leftychan if it’s just as bad as leftypol?

      Sigh, and apparently a NAFO troll recently killed himself, ex-infantry (not sure if he had MOS changed to psyops afterwards). The rumor was that he was sexually accosting an underage girl, got reported, and well…

      But I can’t find any substantiation or investigation of the rumor, and I can’t ask on Leftypol because it’s no longer under friendly control (now we’re getting people calling materialist dialectics stupid).

      Would have been a fun scoop though if he was still working professionally, had his designation changed to psyops, AND was sexually harassing minors.
