As usual the reverse is actually the case. It’s Westerners who have no idea what was happening in Ukraine prior to the Russian intervention, nor what is happening now with the fascism and genocide perpetrated by the Kiev Nazi regime being ramped up to 11. Russians for the most part tend to be very politically informed, about geopolitics and certainly about what has been going on in Ukraine, particularly in the past 9 years. They speak essentially the same language, have taken in millions of refugees, and countless Russians have relatives on the other side of the border. It’s the Western media that has been hiding the reality of the fucked up state of Ukrainian society and lying about the causes of the conflict. This is yet more projection of their own brainwashed-ness and ignorance.
