Isn’t it interesting that Taiwan Island’s thin veneer if Librul Democracy peels away when it comes to accepting racial minorities that aren’t White or Japanese? If the DPP claims that “Taiwanese” is a different identity from Chinese, then why can’t Indian people be part of that Taiwanese identity? The PRC recognizes 55 ethnic minorities in China and protects their rights, why are “Taiwanese” people reluctant to even accept living alongside Indian people?
Also, what level of Hell are we at where a government ministry unironically posts “stop the cap”? If you’re going to claim to be a real government, maybe don’t make public statements that a high schooler would make.
Depressing how this works on so many people in the imperial core and vassals in the periphery. All the bad things in our culture aren’t caused by us, they’re just caused by evil foreign agents coming in and ruining out pristine and perfect superior culture.
