Maybe you need to restart the server? Also, I just remembered we cannot break bedrock again on the netherroof for some reason ;-; I’ve tried a lot and just cant. I wanted to open a hole for the hub.
I was able in the past to break a couple of blocks, but now I’m just unable to do so. I tried these methods, and none of them work. If you can change the setting necessary back so we are able to do it once again it would be amazing!
Seems like you used an unpatched exploit that paper went ahead and patched at some point (maybe, I don’t know what happened, could be something else). I’ve set allow-permanent-block-break-exploits to true, so whenever it… “restarts”* it should work.
* (crashes, as much as I would hope it doesn’t crash after everything I’ve tried. But hey, seems like it only crashes a few times a day instead of up to 10 times? Maybe IDK. Takes so long from when I do something to a crash happening that I forget about it.)
Should I update the server to 1.20.2?
While at it please also up the difficulty to hard, it is impossible to do certain stuff on easy or normal

For some reason, if you go to the end or the nether, the game says that difficulty is set to easy too, though.
