In my experience after far too many stupid arguments when I was a dumbass, they tend to (though not always) hate Edelgard and prefer either Azure Moon or Silver Snow. Like I once had someone try to tell me that Edelgard wouldn’t be as popular if she wasn’t a woman. Not knowing that Arvis exists and has plenty of unironic supporters too.
As for ships, I think one of them was into Rhea and the other had trouble picking cuz he liked everyone so he joked about doing a harem. So that kinda says everything you need to know tbh.
Wait I just realised that not liking El and preferring AM is my exact opinion, fuck. Uhhh well my issues with El are because she suffers from FE writing trends (I genuinely kinda think her backstory’s tragic elements take a lot away from her overall character, though admittedly this is mostly a vibes-based opinion.) and is a lesser Arvis, so I’m different.
Makes perfect sense that they dislike the most revolutionary character and the only lord that is a woman. And I can only imagine that they didn’t S rank Sothis because they didn’t know they could.
