In this era of racial reckoning, words such as ‘white privilege’ have played a significant role in defining social problems plaguing America. But those words also have a downside.
You do realize that people who look down their noses (what you just did) instead of listening are a big part of the problem? That goes both for segments of white people and Black people who feel looked down on when they make their concerns known.
Being nice about it doesn’t work. White people as a social class sit on a throne of dead and enslaved brown bodies and whine whenever someone points out literally anything that shatters their white picket fence suburban ideology.
