It’s perfectly normal to be unable to differentiate between being serious or sarcastic when it comes to the whole Moon exploration program because on the fucking Internet there’s actually a very chonky population of people who believe the landings to be a hoax and you can find such individual in the MOST unexpected places.

That was my thought process as well. I assumed/hoped they were being sarcastic, but there is always a non-zero chance.
