      There’s more to it than that. Staying on this site means that admins can erase a community with the click of a button. There’s no reason a community can’t be built on an open federated platform while trying to maintain a presence elsewhere - not sure how that is supposed to happen, but consider what happens when GenZedong is eventually inevitably banned and there is no real alternative. It happened to the Chapo subreddits.

      Yes, it is.

      The idea is not to isolate there, but to have a safe place to organize precisely in this type of situation.

      As already said, just staying here gives reddit the power to delete the entire community with just one click.

      We are easily disjointed if we depend only on reddit to be able to articulate.
