In my experience IRL (imperial core) and online, “Maoists” are often well read and intelligent but are also somehow completely unhinged. I mean specifically that kind of Maoist who rejects MZT and uphold Gonzalo Thought, for example. You know the kind.

Does anyone have an analysis as to what makes people become this sort of leftist, or any experience helping them back to the real world, as it were? All the Maoists I’ve known would make great comrades if they weren’t constantly wrecking or trying to wreck things in a given area. It may be of use to try to pull some back from the brink.

Can somebody explain to me who the fuck is running r/communism and r/communism101? Apparently I got banned for “not being a Marxist”.

Maoists started banning anyone not anti-China and anti-existing socialism.

This person also I believe seized control of the original discord for this sub. Not that I care but why does shit like this ALWAYS happen in discord? It’s this or some other factionalist bullshit and favoritism that results in splits and drama. Yet another reason I’m glad I don’t use that.

Isn’t that the person who bragged about running over a jogger and fleeing, and the person who calls everybody ableist when they tell her she’s a psychopath and this behavior isn’t okay

Calling someone a psychopath is calling some a myth since it doesn’t be defined in the DSM-5 it’s like equating evil to a mental illness

I think everybody understands psychopath to mean an egomaniacal person lacking empathy, which that person clearly is. The DSM isn’t the authoritative source on these terms, just on current American parlance within the field, but even if it was it does define these traits as a subset of ASPD

Language is bad but they’re probably talking about exposure therapy in the mental health context which has its own problems but they’re probably not advocating for drilling peoples brains to see how they react

I wouldn’t doubt that it’s just been silently taken over by Reddit admins and the feds who turned it into a psyop

Its really not that outlandish. Reddit is fed territory and there have been admissions to this. I was getting into r/morbid which is just tiananmen square propaganda before I was awakened.

Completely reasonable that the most obvious forum that someone would find when searching for a leftist space would be co opted and controlled by feds and the otherwise shitty people who work with them

I got banned for telling someone not to join the us military😎 the question was “I’m in a bad spot and I see the military as my only out. Should I join?” I think I said something like,” there’s a lot of really bad right wingers in the military so be careful if you do join. You shouldn’t because of….” I guess they thought me warning him of possible threats was enough for a ban.
