The book this rumour was in was by ‘historian’ Simone Montefiorre who was a British banker (lol) and the guy that claimed Stalin said that described himself as “somewhat of a national-socialist” and ended up seeking refuge in West Berlin when the Soviets moved in

Whenever you look deeply into anticommunist rumours and shit like that I’m oft reminded of Marx remarking that the prevailing culture in society is bourgeois culture
