avoiding any mainstream Hollywood crap. there is so much cinema out there that we’ve never heard of… Hong-Kong 70s 80s (Shaw Brother, Golden Harvest), Italian Giallo and other exploitation stuff (Lucio Fulci!), the Hammer films, Nouvelle Vague, those Sci-Fi flicks from the eastern block, classics by Murnau, Chaplin, Fritz Lang… how about some Jacques Tati?
