I’m not trying to mock this dude. He’s obviously so lost in this beliefs that it’s deluding him. But I didn’t realize LARPers existed to this extent. I thought they were a meme. But here he is, unironically saying that enlisting in the Army willingly for the queen is equal to mandatory service in the Stalingrad.
Am I crazy/an asshole for thinking this dude is a huge larper?
If you can think it, someone genuinely believes it.
There are people who genuinely believe Hitler didn’t order the execution of German officers, because post-war propaganda erased that part of history. There are people who, no joke, believe the age of Imperialism was the height of human society, and that we’ve been in decline since the empires fell. (I used to know a French imperialist, who believed northern Africa should be reinvaded by France, because they believe that will bring peace to the region.)
