Difference between x5 and x7 maybe. To pass x6 a device must be submerged to a depth of 1m for 30 minutes.
IPx7 is for a device intended to operate permanently submerged. So not a phone.

IP67 is just a marketing gimmick. I’d be impressed if a phone with this rating would endure 12 months submerged and still function. Who needs this anyway?
Galaxy S5 was IP67 with a headphone socket, removable battery and dedicated microSD card slot. Others have also existed. Taking like adding a headphone socket costs more than 5 cents is stupid.

The power that major tech companies weild combined with the addiction the vast majority of the population have to their products is telling me otherwise.
If anything things have gotten worse. Used to have 6 different supermarket bands in my town, but despite population booming we’re now stuck with a duopoly that has 6 shops between them (Coles / Woolworths) and 1 minor left over (Aldi).
That’s what I’m seeing as a 40+ Aussie that’s lived in the same town all that time.

Earlier this year I needed to go Melbourne to Albury, usually a trip done in a car, but this time I had use of a car at the other end so I took the train. Was a fantastic trip. Access to a small food bar, toilets, the occasional stop at more significant towns.
Trains kick ass.
I’d love to see a better in town solution for transport, buses and whatever both in Albury and my home town aren’t really up to scratch yet.

I’d be careful with that suggestion. Some external readers will only read SATA M.2, Dube will only read NVMe M.2.
Ideally you’d want I’ve is each or one that will do both for maximum compatibility.
Though most drives do seem to be NVMe now.

How’s your WiFi infrastructure? Assuming you have the area covered with WiFi you could go PoC (PushToTalk Over Cellular). There are dedicated handsets you can use for this for as low as USD$50 ea on Ali Express. Being that it’s just WiFi there are no licenses to worry about. Having a 2 way radio type handset makes it pretty familiar, buy you can very much use it with existing mobile handsets. Zello seems to be the de-facto standard for this but i believe other options exist.
All i can see is that as per @Inductor@feddit.de it just switches between the audio sources for ‘DATA MOD’ and ‘DATA OFF MOD’ in the CONNECTORS menu. Seems like a lame missed opportunity to also configure the other parameters of the radio for data. The addition of the ‘PRESETS’ menu seems like an additional missed opportunity to do the same. They describe it as a way we can save the state of the radio to suit digital modes… but then fail to let us save the sates of the most important things needed to be changed for digital modes. Seems like such a massive oversight, i just can’t understand what they were thinking?
