I mentioned this in a lower comment but im also curious if they made an API allowing apps like steam to install WinUI3 apps would the same be true.

I mean in terms of the reason to kill Linux gaming so devices like the steam deck would need to run windows for most games

Linux security to me has always been, don’t download random packages you don’t trust.

My issue with RCS is its only open to other device makers, like you can’t make RCS apps cause you need a special license. Its a closed system that on android will likely always depend on google

honestly at this point I don’t even understand using the normal youtube front end anymore. I have been using piped as my youtube app on my phone for a while, and I think it’s time I switch frontends. What sucks is video is one of the few things we don’t have a decent way of federating right now just due to the sheer volume of disk space required.

I don’t really know how your gonna sell people on this exactly. Like people will just stop buying laptops. The average person just buys a laptop at walmart in the desired size, from any brand. They don’t even really think about windows. I just don’t really see this working for anyone. What will end up happening is Chromebooks will overtake the laptop market if microsoft goes all in on this.
