Before I moved into big tech space I wasn’t familiar with the role grade of security architect, and neither was my prior company. They had an architecture team where those within it were enterprise/security architects. I think that’s perfectly fine tbh, but I suppose could be confusing if you come from tech world.

Maybe some HM’s would think that. I wouldn’t tbh. Your entrepreneurial spirit might even be a benefit. If they like you as a candidate but are worried about any conflicts of interest they will just ask you. You’ll just need a confident response to allay any potential fears.

To be clear, Unity ain’t why i didn’t choose Ubuntu, that’s just what others commented. My reasons are articulated in my note 😁. So if anything you’re making fun of some other folks haha.

Honestly. All of the above. If you have time for OSCP. Swing for it. It’s definitely a good one to have on the resume. When you’re ready to look for gigs, apply to both pentesting roles and really anything security-related. Breaking in is the hardest part but once you have some XP it’s easier to move about.

Not sure what you mean by “reputation”. But generally I think it’s hard for anyone to like their Dentist visit. Even a “checkup” typically involves a cleaning which is invasive and uncomfortable. This is compounded by the fact that people don’t take care of their teeth so feedback from dentists is almost always poor. I don’t think Dentists have a bad rep, but I can safely say I don’t look forward to my visits 😅

Congrats! Getting some momentum is usually the hardest part. I’ve been pretty regularly going to the gym since last October and I can safely say I have a decent groove now. Would never say no to more. Could probably make more at same level. But am mostly happy / feel fortunate for where I’m at.

Every time ive seen an article about worst state it’s always Mississippi :-/. But these days thanks to awful leadership Florida and Texas are making a case for the crown.

Top 3 worst setups I’ve had

• Giant monitor on a tiny square dining table that I had to move on and off between meals
• Working from home and had laptop on coffee table, sitting on couch. Leaning over for 6 hours caused some back issues
• Nice office space but my temporary desk was a plastic folding picnic table. All the gear on top of it had me worried it would collapse.
