Fair! :) Maybe some ARE regarding it as nothing, in which case I agree with your view.

No one is regarding it as nothing. We’re regarding it as a very high cost form of protest which doesn’t seem to be more effective than non-suicidal methods.
I don’t know how you see it as anything other than sadly acknowledging a thrown away life. Do you think there is a magic number of self-immolations that will change US or Israeli policy? If one wasn’t enough a thousand won’t be.
Hey KDE Team: 😘 ❤️ Please don’t ever change!
I read it as an oblique reference to this:
It may not have BEEN that, but I definitely saw it as a swipe against dishonest elected officials, not against democracy
…if Dolores Umbridge had been a Bajoran…
Thank you this looks interesting!
Sure it is. Everyone starts trying to be sure things render correctly on Chromium based browsers and nothing else. Next thing you know people say “Wow Chromium based browsers render pages more reliably than everything else” and then you end up somewhere not too differently from where we were heading. Everything that’s not based on Chromium starts getting tossed aside.
I have been on the firefox train since it was new. I witnessed the rise of Chrome and Chromium, and never really felt the pull, and worried about everyone targeting the same platform. Figured I’d stay on FF until I had no choice. Don’t see myself leaving.
Wow. I wish this was my friend. :D
Ah, I misunderstood the point you were making, I apologize for my assumptions.
Much as I hate ads (and especially targeted ads which involve datamining by corporations), I’m still not convinced this is something that can win in court, but I do see the distinction you are drawing.
There have been numerous studies debunking links between violent video games and violence. This is the 80’s Satanic Panic all over again with a different wrapper and target.
400 police failed them, not activision. Then they voted for the same leadership at the next election. It’s like everyone from the first responders onward just takes turns reacting to this shooting in head scratching ways.
They voted back in all the same leadership at an election not long after. Having made that decision, I find this to be less surprising than it might have been.
LOL! (I assume)
😆
With absolute sincerity my username is totally random. I wanted to pick something with zero connotations/implications (as far as I know) and that I’d not used previously.
Maybe transparent is maximum effort? (I have no idea, I’m just guessing.)
So glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
IMO you are in for a treat. His voice is something else IMO and I love his style.
Here’s one of my favorites (fairly, ah, opinionated): Uncle Sam Goddamn

Can’t Take That Away (Just nice.)
(Also pretty opinionated:) Mourning in America
100% true, I should have acknowledged that!
2007 was YOTLD for me. Yours, dear Windows-using reader, is 2024, if you want it to be.
