On one hand, I really, really want those idiots in the Kremel to cause a Kessler Syndrome…(In theory it could also prevent ballistic missiles)
On the other hand, that would be quite bad for the rest of us.
GDP is not the only measure of the economy. In fact it’s a really bad one
I agree - which makes the rest of the numbers very odd, because most companies posted a substantial plus for 2023.
FFS, recession is not a fact. Stop with that Bullshit. Yes, growth is down to 0,2% - that’s not good, but it isn’t a recession!
Edit: To all the downvotes: You realize a recession is defined as “Not growing”? Meaning a 0,2% growth is still growth?
Life on K2-18 b is still pretty unlikely. Or at least what we would call life… There have been signs of Dimethyl sulfide, which would be one of those bio markers.
I have a yubikey for the Bitwarden vault as second factor
and the market will be flooded.
China will figure this out.
Nope. China won’t figured it out and will only be able to do semiconductors that trail behind a lot for a very long time. The smallest node that actually works for them is 16 nm, SMIC’s 7 nm in the new Kirin 9000S Chip is not even close, especially compared to the Krin 9000 wich is made with TSMCs 5nm node. Performance and Efficiency are up to 45% behind TSMCs stuff (Which is not something that can be explained away with just because of the smaller node).
But that’s not all: The way SMIC manufactures these chips is extremely expensive, due to the fact that they have to use multi-patterning. This also effects yields significant. They have no chance to compete on the open market against Samsung, Intel and TSMC, even with the high subsidies from the Chinese government. Also, while the way they are being produced allows for 6 nm, the gate length and contact width are going to reduce yield even more.
So they simply can’t flood the market.
Better than shrinking - which would actually be a recession.
The Eurozone slipped in to recession because of COVID AND the war. Not only that: Ukraine was a big shadow player in the subcontractor field. Not only that: Most European countries are already out of their recession, only Germany is struggling right now and that’s also mostly because as a country relying on export, it was hurt the most. However, the growth is still around the 0,2 in the plus, so no recession either.
International Law doesn’t apply to those with a lot of weapons and money. Case in point: Russia, the U.S., Israel, the U.K…
I guess the times turned. I remember that before 2010 “we” fans cared a lot about inter-series continuity and had an absolut blast in favrious discussion groups if these where honoured.
Seems like “we” have turned to be the odd balls and people seem to care a lot less these days…

I had none over the last 2 years…which is funny, because i fully expected to have them - and put a custom rom on it. There are just two things that irk me…you can’t disable IPv6 and the adaptive charging is still not enough for me personally, i would have liked to have a hard limit…
I know - which was the reason i got it in the first place.
Before i got my Pixel 6 Pro, i’ve been running Custom Roms on everything. The Pixel 6 Pro is probably the first device, i’m actually okay running Stock. It just does what it should. And i’ll be honest, the hassle of getting it to work properly (Banking, Netflix, etc) is just too much for my everyday phone…Google really did a number on that one, both positive and negative. I kind of hate it…
Alas, everyone who doesn’t have a job which provides a car does what I do: drive that old piece of garbage till it really falls apart.
And that is exactly the reason, why HVO100 diesel and Blue95 need to happen NOW and not in 20 years.
In Germany, Austria and Italy? A lot. I’d say at least 40%.
It’s being implied every single time this topic comes up.
Has nothing to do with shittily built, public transport for 5 people that’s available around the clock isn’t something that’s even remotely feasible, nor is it economical.
Apart from that, if you think like that, you’re part of the problem. Where do you think the groceries will come from in the future? From farmers that go about with public transport?
So, Taiwan is now China for Android Authority? Good to know, another one to ignore and not visit anymore…
