The problem isn’t ads, it’s how obnoxious they’ve gotten with ads. Full length ads without even a skip button, ads in the beginning, ads in the middle. Have you tried using Google without blockers or news websites? It’s obnoxious how ads are just fucking everywhere. These companies aren’t hurting for money, they’re still making a massive amount of profit. They just want even more profit next year. Not to mention you even have people here actually using Youtube Premium who are still seeing ads under the videos. Zero sympathy.

I only use it when someone links me to something on it. I don’t think I ever specifically type in Youtube and go to it on purpose.

Your description of AI limitations sounds a lot like the human limitations of the reps we deal with every day. Sure, if some outlier situations comes up then that has to go to a human but let’s be honest - those calls are usually going to a manager anyway so I’m not seeing your argument. An escalation is an escalation. The article itself is even saying that’s not a literal 100% replacement of humans.

Maybe you work at a decent place but in my experience you’re really overestimating the people who answer calls and give generic responses.
