Nice! Did it make a big impact on traffic? For me, one of the most fun aspects is traffic management, and I was really hoping that with all the new features with CS2 it would be even better.

I’m so looking forward to a CS2 version of TMPE. Lane assignments and getting actual cars for people that don’t respawn or remain invisible will be a game changer.

I hate that the only real traffic I have is from people moving in. Too much of the traffic sim, like other aspects of the game, are all fake.

There was a video where someone deleted every single public transport line in their city and it had no impact to traffic.

What a shame this game fell so far from its potential.

Reminds me of Sim City (I forget which one… 2000?) where one of the power plants was a space based one that would beam the power down to a station. You’d then have a chance of getting a disaster where the beam “missed”.

Some security camera systems have this built in. They show snapshots of various times where you choose the total period, say 24 hours. Then you glance through the snapshots that are all displayed at once on the screen and click on the last one where your bike was still there. That will then “zoom in” the timeline and show another set of snapshots, though this time within a smaller total time window. Keep clicking on the last panel with the bike, and it will soon show you the clip of the bike being stolen.

Really helpful to find out when something changed.

Gone are the days of “everyone is entitled to their opinion” when one party literally tried to overthrow the government and wants to bring an end to democracy. Sounds like we’ve all learned this the hard way. In my case, I was actively playing the game when my wife accidentally pushed the “going to sleep” button on her bedside remote. That script, among other things, hibernates our computers. I learned that CS2 doesn’t do well being hibernated and the game crashed on me when I woke the computer back up.

I can’t wait for mods so that traffic can be “fixed” in that it feels too easy. I absolutely loved the puzzle aspect of fixing traffic in CS1, minus the dumb behavior with lanes. Right now it seems too easy to deal with traffic, and this is with my dumb city design. I intentionally made some bad intersections just to see what would happen, and while there is some traffic sometimes, it doesn’t feel like it’s enough. Perhaps a mod to disable vehicle despawning since it does happen still.

But if the only states that pass this go blue anyways, it’s more of a symbolic win. Although it will certainly tank his popular vote numbers for all the good that will do.
