Maybe you’re confusing engineering with programming.
Although everyone uses both interchangeably, software programmers aren’t more engineer than ‘sound engineers’. Engineers are good at structuring and optimizing. Programmers, though, are much better at finishing the job.
Is it possible to run it in VM?
Edit: it’s meant to run on a vm. cool!
Alright hear me out: If an unknown team who’s not sitting on Microsoft’s giant PR budget have had developed this game, no one would give a flying f*ck about it.
There are dozens of ambitious, great indie games at Starfield’s current caliber out there on Steam and Itch.io already, and they only can barely find an audience. PR changes everything.
I installed Voyager without knowing it’s PWA, and wouldn’t notice if people weren’t talking about it. Such a terrific job.
HDR support for external displays, finally!
Every music genre with examples.
Even Frasier got a reboot but not this one. How disappointing.
It didn’t got cancelled to be fair. It was a great show that run much longer than it’s viewership can support, and it was announced way earlier that the story will be wrapped by 6th season.
The Expanse universe is not abandoned either. Telltale Games just launched a new Prequel adventure game a few days ago: https://store.epicgames.com/tr/p/the-expanse-a-telltale-series
At least I know it’s only Apple tracking me and selling that data to a only handful, premium ad agencies. With Microsoft and Google, I don’t have a faintest idea if any 13 yo bengali kid with fakest company name can bulk purchase my browser history or not.
Yeah, it’s been a breeze since I moved into Apple ecosystem. Nothing really being shoved down your throat feels nice.
What’s ridiculous to me is Steam Link app works wonders when you launch it from SteamDeck to connect to your PC, but the builtin Remote Play is broken as hell. I wonder if they implement different protocols.
I’m observing a few-year-long pattern where players’ demands shift between better tech (visuals, new ways to play) and deeper narrative. We’re now at the peak of where people expect deeper games with latest tech, and Larian -maybe knowingly- hit that jackpot.
The game will be remembered as the best of the decade, how wonderful.
If you are absolute beginner and OK with setting up things few more times in the future, start eith Yunohost. I get the grasp of everything while I’m using it.
I’m sure now owned by Microsoft, Bethesda made sure how that will work on Xbox X/S :)
Starfield made to be moddable. That’s why there’s thousands of empty planets: Just pick one, make a total conversion mod and release it without conflicting with thousands of other mods (planets).
I’m sure mods will be supported everywhere to full extent.
Until you need to reach out support for a fake 1 tb microsd card
Probably more and more people buying Steam Deck lately. That’s the nr. 1 purchase I’ve made last year for me.
TBH “The whole world agreed on something” narrative doesn’t really reflect what happened.
Actually, The Industry dropped using CFC after a cheaper and luckily safer alternative has been discovered right around that time.
