Yep, Lemmy is more active than tildes at this point.
Sitting in traffic every day for hours on end is really bad for you as well.
Nicotine is as addictive as caffeine. It’s the habit that is hard to break.
NH LP needs to be kicked out, their just a bunch of alt right idiots posing as libertarians. It’s really fucked up.
Lol came to say this, fucking battlebit is the next battlefield…and it fucks hard.
I am terrible at the game, like .3 k/d but I love it so much since it reminds me of bf1942
Urban areas are based off of 2.5k people in an area…I own a 200+ acre farm and have to drive 30mins (17miles) to the nearest grocery store…I am included in this urban classification…thats how the census is based.
Dude… Australia is still fucking empty. The majority of you live in cities, and not rural. The majority of you live on the coast. The majority of Americans do not live near a city, most of us a miles and miles from one.
So it’s like carbon credits…with more steps and bullshit lol great
Yep, I’m honestly guilty of it as well, I like some of the guests he has on their for their stories. Usually I just watch the little clips of them at most.
RCV doesn’t allow that to happen.
You mean carbon credits right? This sounds like legit tech. Do you have info on why it’s flawed? I’d love to read up on it.
Rogan flips like a light switch. One day he’s all about the science and the next he’s got some mouth breather telling him the moon is made out of cheese.
The good thing was that so far they’re consoles have been hacked for home brew for nearly 2 decades now.
I always love to inform them that he was a lifetime card carrying democrat prior to 2016.
Or SwitchU or something and it falls flat…knowing nintendo, this is exactly what they will do. They’re like the microsoft of consoles, releasing a solid console every other generation.
Why do you only highlight some items?
Because you pointed out like veganism is going to save the planet…and I pointed out, that it’s bullshit using your own sources.
Everything could be reduced by 3/4 with a plant based diet.
No it couldn’t, I’ve already pointed this out…hell 75+% of our GHGs aren’t from food production.
No change will result in +2°C. Once it hits +4°C there is no more animal agriculture.
So why are we focusing on the smallest area? Vs trying to fix the 75% of shit that isn’t keeping us alive?
Your nature argument is flawed https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naturalistic_fallacy You can’t justify your behavior with wild animals.
Did…did you just point me to a wiki article on philosophical ethics? The fuck lol. I was also responding to the person who said making an animal die is cruel…you keep being a militant vegan…and I’ll keep eating meat.
They were eating far less meat than we do today.
No they did not, that was basically the main source of food for thousands of years, agriculture didn’t take hold for a long ass time.
Animals rape each other, right?
Yes because I forgot how animals can consent to carry on their species…the fuck does that have to do with them eating meat?
Did you read your own source?
The global food system generates GHG emissions from multiple sources. Major sources include land clearing and deforestation, which release carbon dioxide (CO2) and nitrous oxide (N2O); production and use of fertilizers and other agrichemicals, which emit CO2, N2O, and methane (CH4); enteric fermentation during the production of ruminants (cows, sheep, and goats), which emits CH4; production of rice in paddies, which emits CH4; livestock manure, which emits N2O and CH4; and combustion of fossil fuels in food production and supply chains, which emits CO2. In total, global food system emissions averaged ~16 billion tonnes (Gt) CO2 equivalents year−1 from 2012 to 2017
It’s the 4th paragraph down??? If you think plants don’t require fertilizers, farm equipment burning fuel, and land clearing…then I’ve got a bridge to sell you.
We next explore how global food system GHG emissions might be reduced through five strategies that target food supply and demand: (i) globally adopting a plant-rich diet [here modeled as a diet rich in plant-based foods that contains moderate amounts of dairy, eggs, and meat, such as a Mediterranean diet or planetary health diet (15)]; (ii) adjusting global per capita caloric consumption to healthy levels; (iii) achieving high yields by closing yield gaps and improving crop genetics and agronomic practices; (iv) reducing food loss and waste by 50%; and (v) reducing the GHG intensity of foods by increasing the efficiency of production, such as by altering management regimes (e.g., precise use of nitrogen fertilizer and other inputs) or technological implementation (e.g., additives to ruminant feed).
So basically, fat people are a huge cause for our increase in GHG and people who waste food. Even their plant based diet, still has meat in it.
You’re other two links gathered data and has a ton of assumptions in it because the majority of cattle land cannot be used for crops, it’s either way to rocky, or the soil is complete shit. You do realize as well these estimates include the literal millions of acres that Australia use for free range cattle, and the same as in the USA right?
Global mean land used to produce 1000 kilocalories of different food products. This is measured in meters squared per 1000kcal (m² per 1000kcal).
So a cow which will eat straight up anything you cannot consume is going to roam in this large vast areas, and because it does so, all of a sudden it’s 1000k takes up a lot more space. Space which cannot be used for crops.
Yes, because letting people who cannot survive on their own, into your country is real smart.
You know the EU is dealing with this same shit from immigrants from the middle east right?
